N769BW
N769BW is a 2011 Vans RV-12 hangared in Lancaster, PA. She was professionally built in 2012 with the help of my father, Benjamin M. "Skip" Witmer. When dad passed in 2018, I became the owner of this little beauty. I got my light sport licence and have enjoyed flying for the past five years. I am now looking to share the joy of aviation (and the costs of ownership!) with a soon-to-be-formed Flying Club.
She has a Dynon FlightDEK D-180 EFIS w/auto-pilot, Garmin SL40 radio and Garmin GTX327 ransponder. She is equipped with an iPad mount for Foreflight and Bose A20 noise cancelling headphones. I installed an interior kit a couple years ago with carpet, side pockets and armrests.
She currently has 359.7 hours on the Hobbes timer.
This airplane is a lot of fun to fly, due in large part to the visibility. The seats are located in front of the wing spar and the dash is very low, allowing for clear views in all directions. The 100 HP rotax engine runs on both 100LL and/or mogas and burns about 5gal/hr at 95 kt cruise.
If you are interested in joining a flying club, please contact Josh Witmer at jnmwit@aol.com or 717-201-3439.
We can check her out, take a flight, and talk about the details of the flying club. Thanks and I hope to see you soon!
